FC Cincinnati dropped a 3-1 loss to Charlotte FC on Saturday at TQL Stadium, after giving up two goals in a two-minute span during the first half. Luciano Acosta scored in stoppage time before halftime, and the Orange and Blue had chances to equalize early in the second half but were denied. Acosta had a penalty kick saved, and Luca Orellano's goal moments later was discounted because of an offside call in the buildup. Charlotte tacked on an insurance goal in the 66th minute.
