FC Cincinnati got first-half goals from Alvaro Barreal and Luciano Acosta, and Barreal completed a brace with his second goal in the 88th minute to cap the scoring in a 3-0 win over New York Red Bulls on Sunday in Game 1 of a best-of-three first round to the MLS Cup playoffs at TQL Stadium. Roman Celentano preserved the clean sheet with five saves, as the defense helped keep Red Bulls from dangerous chances in the box in a chippy game.
