Matchday: ‘Hell is Real’ derby takes over TQL Stadium tonight

FC Cincinnati meets rival Columbus Crew for the first time at TQL Stadium on Friday night, as the Orange and Blue look to add to a three-game unbeaten streak in the first Hell is Real derby of the season.

Reigning MLS Cup champion Columbus could be missing up to 11 players who are either injured, questionable because of injury or away on international duty, including forward Gyasi Zardes, who has previously enjoyed plenty of success against FC Cincinnati but is away with the U.S. men’s national team for the Gold Cup. FCC is missing five players, three who have been expected out because of long-term injuries and two because of the Gold Cup, as Ronald Matarrita and Allan Cruz are away with Costa Rica.
